This second issue of Swords & Sorcery Magazine reaches a few milestones. Our first story this month, “Redwater” by Noeleen Kavanagh, is the first story we have published that features magic. In it a young traveler to a small village discovers a talent she didn’t know she possessed and is faced with a choice she did not expect. “Redwater” is also the first story we have published from outside of the United States. Ms. Kavanagh is Irish but now lives in Shanghai.
Our second story this month, “Hel Awaits” by David J. West, is a historical set in Moorish Spain. If you well enjoy lavishly described swashbuckling action this story is for you. I enjoyed reading this and I hope you do to.
Swords & Sorcery Magazine is always seeking story submissions. We are also seeking reviews and criticism of fantasy stories and novels, as well movies and comics relevant to the genre. See our submissions page for more information about what we are looking for. If you have comments or questions, please email them to editor@SwordsandSorceryMagazine.com.
Until next month,
Curtis Ellett
