Welcome to the March 2025 issue of Swords & Sorcery Magazine, issue 158. This month I have a packed issue with four new stories and a review for your reading pleasure.

“Blood for Wind”, by Chris Cornetto, is the tale of a young rebel who must decide how much she is willing to give for the cause. Cornetto’s work has been published in magazines such as Metaphorosis, Wyldblood, and DreamForge, and have been named recommended reads by Tor.com and Tangent Online. This is his first appearance in Swords & Sorcery Magazine.
In “Beyond the Firelight”, by Matthew Ilseman, Krya the shrinya warrior grapples with the loss of her companion. Ilseman is a regular contributor to Swords & Sorcery Magazine.
In “Eternal”, by E. Florian Gludovacz, an aging barbarian seeks immortality in a final quest. Gludovacz is a writer, musician, and artist who lives in Southern California. This is his first appearance in Swords & Sorcery Magazine.
In “Shield of the Glasslaw”, by Isobel Mackenzie, a young warrior fights to have her wish granted by the Stone Queen. Mackenzie’s work has been seen in Hexagon Magazine. This is her first appearance in Swords & Sorcery Magazine.
Anthony Perconti gives us “Double-Edged Sword & Sorcery: Review” in which he discusses the upcoming pair of sword & sorcery novellas inspired by Tchingis Khan coming soon from Brackenbury Books.
