Welcome to the December 2024 issue of Swords & Sorcery Magazine, issue 155. This month I feature three new stories for you to enjoy as the year changes. In 2025 I wish you a life filled with magic and adventure, or if it would be better, the comfort of a quiet corner and a good story to read.
In “A Ritual of Thieves”, by Malcom North, a thief robs a temple of its sacred artifacts without knowing the reason for what he does. This is North’s first published story.
In “A Blackened Shield”, by Jay Requard, a young warrior learns how heroes are made. Requard’s short fiction has been seen in Bards and Sages Quarterly, Silver Blade, and previously in Swords & Sorcery Magazine.
In “The Iron Bells of Xylinthia”, by Jeffery Scott Sims, an envoy arrives at an allied kingdom to find it oppressed by the tyranny of deadly iron bells. Sims has published novels, collections of weird fiction, and short stories in numerous publications, including previously in Swords & Sorcery Magazine.
